Lorenzo Senni is as likely to be found exhibiting at the Centre Pompidou in Paris as he is to be performing in renowned clubs like Berlin's Berghain. Investigating sonic structures via diverse recording techniques, his works range from radical computer music to field recordings and sound art.
Nobody sounds like Senni. His unique and extraordinary approach to the legacy of the trance sound has reached even greater heights with his latest album, "Persona", his first release on Warp. Senni continues to chop and slice his favourite parts of the much-maligned genre that he loves so dearly. His artist sound remains consistent to his tastes (usually for mid and high frequencies), which he processes to maximum effect, building a cathedral of sounds with his amazing production skills.
Senni performs his live shows with an unparalleled intensity and wildly dances on stage as if he were transported back to the clubs of Rimini in the 90's. It was precisely this location, on the Italian coast, where Senni first became interested in the most commercial electronica without neglecting his fondness for playing drums in hardcore and punk groups. Over time trance won him over completely and his first experimental steps as a producer have now become an entire universe of sound.
